The Goddard School uses a Piaget (Learning through Play) based foundation and is a leader in the preschool industry. Our staff is made of loving and dedicated teachers who understand each child's needs. They are educators who are able to use their creativity as the basis for unique lesson plans that are brought to life in a fun and imaginative way. Experience is NOT mandatory. We are looking for fun and energetic assistants for our school. You must be reliable, a fast learner and a team player. Full time Assistant Teacher able to work with our infants all the way up to our Kindergarten class. Must be available to work Monday through Friday, anytime between 6:30 a.m.-6 p.m. We are looking to hire immediately.

Required education/experience:

Relevant Infant Childcare

High school or equivalent

Prior experience working with children

Requirements:

*Previous Infant Childcare experience preferred but not mandatory

Daily Responsibilities - Our Assistant Teachers work together to:

*Help implement lesson plans.

*Meeting the individual needs of the children.

*Parent communication.

*Participation in staff and training meetings.

*Designing an appropriate room arrangement to support the goals and developmental level of the children in the classroom.

*Interacting with the children to support play, exploration, and learning.

*Presenting expectations that are appropriate to the children's age and developmental level.

*Planning and implementing activities that develop self-esteem and social skills.

*Communicating appropriately and professionally with parents, staff, and management.

*Building teamwork.

*Using assessment tools.

* Create a positive learning environment in their classroom where children develop a lifelong love of learning!

*Being proactive and taking initiative within the classroom whenever deemed necessary
