A real estate company located in Chicago, IL is seeking a helpful Receptionist to join their team in a temporary capacity. The Receptionist will be responsible for front desk operations as well as providing general office support and customer service. This is a great opportunity for someone flexible with experience in a professional office environment. The compensation for this role is $16-$17/hr.

Responsibilities of the Receptionist:

  • Answer incoming office phone calls and direct as appropriate
  • Greet and direct office visitors
  • Provide office space and on-site support for management team members and clients who are visiting the office
  • Coordinate office-wide meetings, presentations, and other events and activities
  • Maintain conference room readiness for meetings
  • Maintain inventory and stock office supplies, equipment and kitchen
  • Work with building management for issues, such as security and visitor management
  • Exhibit polite and professional communication via phone and email
  • Provide proactive scheduling support by booking meetings and preventing conflicts
  • Anticipate the needs of management team members in order to provide proactive support
  • Sort and distribute mail and packages
  • Provide coverage to other administrative assistants as needed
  • Other tasks and projects as assigned

Requirements of the Receptionist:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1+ years of relevant experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
