Medical Assistant Supervisor

The Medical Assistant Supervisor directly supervises and provides at the elbow support for the medical assistants including hiring, training, coaching, progressive discipline and annual evaluations. This position will be located in our Bellingham clinic. The MA Supervisor is expected to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team consisting of, at a minimum, medical provider(s), LPN(s), RN(s), Behavioral Health Counselors/Social Workers(s), Behavioral Health Case Managers, Population Health staff, other MA(s) and Quality Improvement staff.

Located in the northwest corner of Washington State, we offer comprehensive primary medical, behavioral health, and dental care, along with pharmacy services at 2 locations in Whatcom County serving a diverse and mostly underserved population of all ages. Our proximity to Seattle, just 90 miles south, and Vancouver, BC, just 45 miles north, offers convenient access to the amenities to two international cities.  

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Completed an LPN or MA program at an accredited institution
  • WA State Department of Health LPN license or CMA license, as well as their current BLS certification
  • At least five years experience with outpatient clinic responsibilities
  • Two or more years of experience supervising and mentoring employees strongly preferred
