Temp to Perm AP Specialist

Our client is a law firm. They are looking for a Temp to Perm AP Specialist to join their Manhattan, NY office.

  • Handle processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
  • Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports
  • Manage payments to vendors by monitoring discount opportunities and schedule and prepare checks
  • Monitor purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation
  • Ensure credit is received for outstanding memos; issue stop-payments or purchase order amendments
  • Issue payments to employees by receiving and verifying expense reports and requests for advances
  • Update accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions
  • Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with law firms or professional service firms preferred
  • Preferably 5 years' experience
  • Full cycle payables experience needed
  • Skilled in Excel (Pivot tables and V lookups)
  • Purchase order experience mandatory
