Are you seeking a career in technical writing or marketing with opportunities to work on challenging projects, career advancement, and a great place to work? Our client provides comprehensive engineering services in various civil areas. In this position, you will work hand-in-hand with a diverse range of educated professionals, including technical editors, marketers, engineers, and scientists. You will copy and assemble hard copy documents and produce PDFs of technical reports, sometimes also proofreading or formatting and editing report text, tables, and figures. You will also assist with compiling, maintaining, writing, or editing proposal text for professional services. This may include creating or modifying staff resumes, project descriptions, and company information. Some work may be performed from home, but there will always be a need for this person to be in the office at least a couple of days per week. There is lots of room to grow personally and professionally within their organization.


You want to demonstrate your aptitude to participate on teams in the development of high-quality reports and winning proposal documents using your superior skills in:

  • Maintaining attention to detail
  • Learning and adhering to company document standards

  • English language/grammar
  • Compiling documents
  • Using Adobe Acrobat Professional and Microsoft Word and Excel at an intermediate level
  • Analytical thinking
  • Graphic design, including proficiency in InDesign/Adobe Creative Suite (preferred)

Additional strengths you will bring include:

  • You are capable of working independently and with teams and interested in learning about engineering projects
  • You have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • You want to put your associates’ or bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, English, or a related field to work on engineering projects and pursuits


A typical workday will involve working with teams on technical reports and proposals with varying deadlines with a focus on the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Copying and assembling hard copy documents and/or producing PDFs of technical reports
  • Proofreading, editing, formatting, compiling, or maintaining text
  • Coordinating with internal and external team members
  • Organizing and producing material according to company or client standards and specifications, ensuring compliance and thoroughness
  • Creating document layout, graphics, charts, and/or diagrams
  • Data entry and administrative tasks

Overtime will be required periodically to meet deadlines. This position also requires that the potential employee pass a pre-employment drug screen. You must possess and maintain a driving record acceptable to our insurer, and must be eligible to work in the United States. Position level and compensation will be commensurate with qualifications. The location for this position is Albuquerque, New Mexico.
