The Smithsonian Institution is looking for experienced accountants in its Office of Finance & Accounting (OF&A) located in Crystal City, VA.

An Accountant in OF&A is responsible for various duties including providing advice on accounting matters; analyzing and resolving complex problems; preparing specialized data, records, reports, and procedures; operating and inspecting accounting systems; supporting internal and external audit processes; developing and training staff; financial report preparation.  Key skills of interest are technical accounting knowledge and financial report development.

The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in not-for-profit organizations and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.  CPA certification is a plus.
