They are seeking a qualified mechanical engineer to join its thriving engineering practice.


Overview:

You will be responsible for mechanical system design and consulting for projects including new installations, renovations, and system upgrades. Project types will vary from stand-alone HVAC systems to large campus infrastructure upgrades. Experience with design-build projects, LEED certification, and energy modeling is considered a plus.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the mechanical system design and/or consulting from its inception to completion.
• Develop and evaluate HVAC system concepts and options to determine best design and engineering solution for each project based upon project scope.
• Responsible for design of the mechanical systems including preparation of all engineering calculations including load calculations, equipment selection and layout throughout life of the project.
• Perform systems analysis and prepare reports and studies as well as cost estimates.
• Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for bidding and construction.
Actively lead and coordinate with in-house engineers, designers, CAD technicians and clerical staff.
• Actively interface and coordinate with external clients, consultants, and construction partners.
• Perform construction administration services.
• Assist team in achieving project budget and management of resources.
• Provide mentorship for other engineers and designers within the organization.
