What are we looking for in a Clinic Manager?

The Clinic Manager is responsible for establishing consistent practices and coordinating & overseeing outpatient clinic operations agency-wide with the goal of maximizing both client satisfaction and clinical effectiveness. The Clinic Manager oversees front office operations, client screening and benefit access, scheduling, direct service hours and access to services, and funding & regulation management. In addition, the Clinic Manager serves as Team Leader for office coordinators, support staff, and screeners in Yakima and coordinates with Site Directors to provide indirect supervision for support staff at satellite offices. This position requires exceptional management and interpersonal skills, outstanding customer service orientation, a talent for motivating others, and detailed knowledge of funding sources and relevant service regulations.

Clinic Manager duties may include:

  • overseeing the day-to-day operations of all support services, providing supervision and feedback to each staff member, and assists in the selection and training of new staff
  • developing & implementing performance improvement activities to enhance internal & external customer satisfaction
  • establishing and standardizing customer service procedures & protocols, providing training and technical assistance as necessary 
  • developing strong collaborative relationships with clinical teams to ensure effective support functions, and revising functions to achieve team goals
  • ensuring that individuals and new or active clients requesting services have support from Comprehensive to maximize their entitled health benefit  
  • ensuring a supportive, customer-friendly process and timely responses for all incoming phone calls and referrals 
  • directing the scheduling of all outpatient clinical staff to maximize direct service hours and clients’ timely access to services
  • collaborating with the Finance department to manage funding source and coding requirements and ensure Comprehensive meets optimal standards

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in healthcare management or related field
  • Five years of experience in a related position within the healthcare field
