Title: Project Manager

Location: Albany NY

Duration: 5 YEARS

Compensation: Hourly on 1099 or W2



Reports to a Senior Project Manager within the IES PMO and responsible for managing assigned projects following established change control process and providing regular project status reports to IES Program Director, as well as, Project Sponsors, Steering Committees, and other governance bodies

Mandatory Qualifications:


·         Between four and seven years of experience as a Project Manager

·         Minimum of four years of experience implementing projects utilizing industry standard system development life cycle methodologies

·         At least one project with budget great than $5Mil.


Desirable Qualifications

·         At least one project as project manager implementing a Health and Human Services, Medicaid, Public Assistance, SNAP, etc.

·         Current PMP or related certification

  • Holding weekly project team meetings and project reviews
  • Managing progress and project reporting for the project
  • Managing the technical element of the project with project team members and stakeholders

  • Coordinating project elements and communicating project progress
  • See portfolio of large global projects
  • Ascertain completeness of the project
  • Manage the entire project lifecycle: Track and coordinate multiple projects, create and maintain project plans, facilitate project meetings and manage progress of key project deliverables
  • Accomplish IT project objectives including project planning and delivery activities; evaluating implementation and progress of project and ensuring successful delivery to defined constraints
  • Deployed as part of a project
  • Remove impediments to project success
