Position Summary:Performs duties required to coordinate the flow of material to insure adequate supply to support production and maintain overall inventory goals.

Place and release orders using SAP to ensure material availability to meet the production plans and goals.
Develop and maintain a plan for every part for storage, movement, and usage program to assist material space and supplier replenishment times.
Support improved materials operations including DFT support, Kanban Management, SAP usage, Inventory Accuracy, material storage, and material movement.
Work with the corporate purchasing group to improve supplier lead times and minimize costs.
Identify and recommend disposition of obsolete materials.
Establish relationships with suppliers to improve cycle times, minimize scrap, improve transportation, and maximize inventory turns.
Perform various tasks and duties as required by Materials Manager.
Train and mentor personnel to obtain their best contribution towards materials excellence.
Bachelor’s Degree or Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar or related position including SAP or similar ERP System, KANBAN, BOM’s, LEAN or Demand Flow Methodologies.
Previous buying/planning experience.
Experience working with KANBAN’s.
Broad knowledge of materials and materials flow within a manufacturing environment.
SAP or similar ERP experience and knowledge of how to train others to maximize the usage of the SAP systems.
SAP or similar ERP usage expert.
Proficient with Microsoft Office, and other tools necessary to excel.
Ability to manage multiple projects across multiple areas of the business.
Team player with the ability to work and communicate across all functional areas of the company.
Self-motivated with a high level of motivation to move projects through to completion.
Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
