  •        Title: QA Inspector
  •        Location: Woodstock, IL
  •        Industry: Pharmaceutical
  •        Hours: Monday-Friday; 12:00 pm – 8:30 pm (12 week training 1st shift)
  •        Salary: $17.50 hour paid weekly with benefits options
  •        Employment Type: Contract – 6 months with possible extension or conversion

Job Scope: This position is responsible for obtaining representative samples of incoming raw materials, evaluating these samples for conformance to established quality standards and specifications, and documenting the results of these evaluations.

  • Material sampling to meet targeted departmental goals
  • Evaluation of materials for conformance to visual and functional specifications
  • Standardization and use of simple analytical instrumentation and calibrated measurement devices (ruler, micrometer, go/no go gauges)
  • Complete, accurate, detailed and legible documentation of sampling completion and results obtained in accordance with cGMP
  • Communications with supervision, and other departments when problems are identified, or assistance
  • Coordination of activities with peers in a dynamic environment
  • Maintain effectiveness of the Quality System components relevant to this position

Skills Needed:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Should be familiar with cGMP and safe work practices
  • Experience in performing investigational evaluations desired
  • Functional testing experience desired
  • Works well under pressure and able to prioritize workloads with little or no supervision
  • Physical Requirements: : Visual Acuity (20/30 corrected vision, Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 30 pounds
