Texas State Vehicle Emissions Inspector / Automotive Technician

If you are an experienced and reliable auto mechanic with a Texas State Vehicle Emissions Inspector's License and looking for a new career with an established and respected organization, look no further!
As a Texas State Vehicle Emissions Inspector and Automotive Technician, you will utilize your vehicle maintenance expertise and customer service skills to perform timely and efficient vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned and in accordance with dealer and factory standards.


Your specific duties as a State Vehicle Emissions Inspector / Automotive Technician will include:

  • Performing work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards
  • Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and performing appropriate repairs
  • Keeping your shop area neat and clean and keeping track of dealership tools at all times
  • Ensuring that customer vehicles are kept clean
  • Documenting work performed on repair order
  • Maintaining and expanding technical expertise by continuously learning new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing automotive technology
  • Performing other duties, as assigned
  • Achieving / Keeping Manufacture certifications

Requirements

  • Current, Valid State Inspection License
  • Hold a valid driver’s license and Driving Record
  • Must pass a Background Check and Drug Test
  • Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
  • Working knowledge of shop equipment
