JOB DESCRIPTION:

The SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER will:

  • Oversee the planning, scheduling and implementation of the construction process assuring that  projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Support the Estimator on bid walks determining equipment and labor requirements.
  • Review all construction requirements with Superintendents
  • Perform project buyout considering schedules, submittal review process and long lead time material and equipment.
  • Create project schedules considering workflow, time frames, major milestones, Client provided items and vendors.
  • Maintain project schedules, making adjustments as required
  • Manage submittal process considering account project schedule, review process and material lead times.
  • Ensure that all required project documentation is completed and maintained in master project files.
  • Track and control construction costs, approving all time sheets, monitoring approving overtime requests.
  • Complete and submit project invoices and requisitions to the Client to ensure timely payments are received.

QUALIFICATIONS:


The SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER will have:


  • BS/BA, OSHA 30
  • 10+ years’ of construction Project Management experience obtained in previous employment key with General Contractors working on large scale renovations to new construction including commercial buildings, corporate interiors, life sciences and academia projects valued at $150K to $5M
  • Ability to coordinate several major activities simultaneously, resolving problems as needed
  • A good understanding of  construction methods, productivity equipment, systems and materials
  • Good track record working with other managers, superintendents, designers, and crew.
  • Excellent working relationships with subcontractors, code inspectors and Clients
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Good computer skills (Microsoft Office  Word, Project and Excel software)
  • Ability to pass drug screening tests and background checks
  • A clean driving record with a valid drivers’ license.
