Staff Today Inc. (STI) is seeking Registered Nurses to work at a Health Care facility in Chinle, Arizona. These are registry positions with our company Staff Today Inc.

 

Job Details:

  • 12.5-hour shifts.
  • May work weekends, holidays, rotating day and night shifts.
  • Unpaid 1-hr. lunch for day shift, and Unpaid 30-min. lunch for night shift.

Job Responsibilities in ALL UNITS:

  • Performs nursing duties and manage patient’s needs as described in the (PD), Identified by the Service Unit and as directed by Supervisor.
  • Provides professional nursing services in direct patient care as follows:
  • Exercises knowledge of the nursing process and its application to clinical practice in order to provide individualized, goal-oriented nursing care to the adult patient.
  • Exercises knowledge of scientific and psychosocial nursing theory, principles and techniques in order to plan and provide quality-nursing care that meets the physical, spiritual, and social-cultural needs of the Indian patient.
  • Exercises knowledge of biological aspects of disease processes and illness in order to recognize complications and implement appropriate therapeutic intervention required.
  • Exercises knowledge of the medications and dosages in order to recognize their desired effects, side effects, and complications of their use.
  • Analyzes results of various medical procedure and translate them into appropriate nursing interventions.
  • Works effectively and harmoniously within the Health care teams and with Native Americans patients and their families.
  • Inter-Facility Transports.
  • Follows facility policies and procedures, JCHAO, OSHA, I.H.S. and other federal licensing, accreditations, and regulating body standards.
  • Coordinates care teams, offer guidance, and support to the team members.
  • Teaches and offer appropriate health education to staff, patients, and customer owners.
  • Performs Clinical procedures, intravenous access, and phlebotomy, point of care laboratory testing, IV Infusions/IV medications, EKG, SVN Respiratory Treatments and response to emergency codes.
  • Meets safety management reporting requirements in accordance with the Service Unit Safety Measure Policy.
  • Responsible for all applicable Federal, State, and Local Taxes, Meals, Travel/Transportation, Lodging is provided but must be paid for by the Contractor or Contract agency. The Contactor shall be responsible and liable for the proper care of government owned or leased property furnished in occupied quarters.

1. Adult Care Unit (ACU) RN

  • Provides full range of medical – surgical care to patients admitted to the Adult Care Unit (ACU).
  • Provides appropriate documentation regarding care rendered using the facility’s Electronic Health Record (E.H.R.) System. All documentation by the provider shall be entered electronically using the Electronic Health Record System. The provider is responsible for utilizing the facility's E.H.R. system to obtain pertinent patient information in assisting care.

2. ER/Urgent Care RN

  • Provide Full Range of Emergency Care to patients of all age ranges.

3. Respiratory Care Unit (RCU) RN

  • Provides Full Range of Emergency Care to patients of all age ranges.
  • On a regular and recurring basis, the contractor shall independently provide emergency inhalation therapy treatments without prior instructions to critically ill and high-risk patients who require extensive skill, training and experience. Such assignments occurs when incumbent serves as sole technician during periods when physicians are not readily available.
  • Advise physicians on change in the patient’s condition and on corrective measures that can be taken.
  • Sets up and operates positive pressure ventilators and pneumatic nebulizers to administer complex inhalation therapy treatments to patients who are critically ill. These treatments include intermittent and positive pressure breathing, continuous ventilation, oral pharyngeal insufflations by nasal catheter, endotracheal intubation, ultrasonic aerosol, infant incubator oxygen therapy, oxygen tent therapy, chest physiotherapy involving postural drainage and percussion and vibration.
  • Perform external cardiac massage and pulmonary resuscitation on patients in cardiac arrest.
  • Assures proper care and maintenance of respiratory therapy equipment and supplies.

4. Pediatric Care Unit (PCU) RN

  • Provides full range of medical – surgical care to patients admitted to the Pediatric Care Unit (PCU).
  • Provides appropriate documentation regarding care rendered using the facility's Comprehensive Health Care Facility’s Electronic Health Record (E.H.R.) System. All documentation by the provider shall be entered electronically using the Electronic Health Record System. The provider is responsible for utilizing the facility's E.H.R. system to obtain pertinent patient information in assisting care. It is the responsibility of the provider to use the training resources provided by the facility to develop competency in utilizing the Electronic Health Record System.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least three years (36 months) of nursing experience, with a minimum of one year (12 months) in the specialty required by the contract.
  • Possession of a current, valid, unrestricted Nursing License in a state, the District of Columbia, The Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a Territory of the United States, throughout the term of this contract.
  • Possession of a valid state Driver’s License.
  • Degree of diploma from a professional nursing program approved by the legally designated state accrediting agency.
  • Current BCLS, ACLS, PALS and Trauma Certification (or experienced that is equivalent)
  • Proficiency in the English language is necessary for communication with other staff and patients. RN must be able to communicate effectively in oral and written English
