Job Description-Full Time
Maintenance Electrician is responsible for performing diagnostics and repairs regarding electrical and electronic aspects
of machines and equipment. Maintenance Electricians must be able to disassemble, repair and reassemble machines
and equipment with minimal-to-no instructions. This position is responsible for supporting production by redesigning,
modifying, repairing and installing industrial machinery.
Contribute to overall team effort by accomplishing related projects and offering assistance as needed.
Find ways to increase safety, productivity and efficiency in the maintenance department.
Ability to learn and implement company policies/procedures.
Understand all safety procedures related to department.
Ability to learn maintenance routines and preventive maintenance schedule.
Ability to visually inspect and test machinery without assistance.
Maps out all projects in a detailed outline, including but not limited to: materials, equipment, supplies, tools, estimated labor, and
Knowledge of specific electrical testing equipment.
Ability to set-up, calibrate, and troubleshoot pressure, level, temperature, pH, conductivity, vibration, flow meters,
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
Ability to visually inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Must have knowledge in VFD drives, transformers, HVAC systems, motor starters, control wiring, relays, switches, weighing systems, position sensing devices, printed circuit control boards.
Install/power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed equipment.
Advanced knowledge of power tools, ability to operate properly and safely.
Ability to repair and/or install machinery and production equipment without assistance.
Must have advanced electrical aptitude.
Willing to work in other areas of the plant as needed when there are no fabrication projects.
Ability to maintain a clean shop and/or assigned work area.
Ability to independently complete assigned tasks as directed by shop manager.
Must have basic set of hand tools and general electrical tools.
Advanced knowledge of basic electrical theory.
Keeps all records in a secure and organized manner.
Ensure the preventative maintenance schedule is being executed on all plant equipment.
This position inspects, promotes and maintain adherence to food safety cleanliness in the handling of product, ingredients and
finished goods using proper work procedures and compliance with Food Safety and Quality Standards as defined by the FDA, SQF, HACCP and GMP Programs
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
Ability to plan and schedule work utilizing computerized Maintenance Management system
Maintenance Electrical Experience 3 years (preferred)
Must be able to complete simple math, to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
Able to read, understand, and comply with Standard Operating Procedures, equipment manuals, and operational checklist.
Manufacturing experience in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to effectively communicate with internal team members via email, telephone, 2-way radio, or handwriting.
Basic computer skills including MS Office Word, Excel etc.
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude
