Job Description

We have an immediate need to add a Supply Chain Coordinator to our growing Operations team. We are a leading global specialty manufacturer. This is a DIRECT HIRE, PERMANENT job, NOT a contract. This role will be located in New Britain, CT. Candidates MUST live within a 50-mile commute of New Britain; no relocation assistance is available at this time.

This role is a great opportunity for someone with limited experience to join our Supply Chain team and have the opportunity to grow their career. This is a coordinator-level role and the salary associated with this position is reflective of that level of experience.


  • Work in an office environment assisting with various supply chain initiatives. Coordinate tasks among various team members.
  • Follow up with vendors to make sure purchase orders are complete on time
  • Make sure appropriate levels of stock are available in the facility for materials, consumables, etc. 
  • Work with supply chain, manufacturing or other data to help analyze problems and determine solutions.
  • Assist Project Managers in coordinating,documenting and executing tasks for multiple supply chain and manufacturing-related projects.

Job Requirements


  • At least 2 years experience working in an office environment, coordinating project tasks
  • Previous manufacturing experience is REQUIRED: experience can be either in an office or shop floor environment.
  • Supply chain or manufacturing operations experience is preferred.
  • Solid skills with MS Office applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint is required.
  • Experience with manufacturing software packages such as Oracle or Maximo is a plus; enthusiasm and ability to learn various software packages is required.
  • BA/BS is Business Administration or similar degree is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Great communication skills and the ability to work with effectively with both management and production floor team members is required.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required.
