Job Description

Title:  Front End Developer

Job Description:


  • We’re looking for someone who is passionate about design thinking, human centered design, mobile-first and responsive design. 
  • The AEM Front End Developer will be instrumental in helping establish standards for front-end development, leading peer-reviews of solution design, supporting code and providing technical leadership to teammates through coaching and demonstrated best practices. 


Job Responsibilities: 


In this role you will: 


  • Build and maintain mobile-responsive, user friendly, accessible, cross-browser tested web pages/applications 
  • Collaborate effectively with UX/UI team to ensure web pages leverage human centered design principles 
  • Utilize CSS Frameworks (BootStrap/Foundation to develop AEM templates and components 
  • Design and develop web applications using the AEM 6.4 platform, including guidance of site structure, components, templates, workflows, dialogs and unit testing using AEM architecture (CRX, OSGI, JCR) 


Required Job Qualifications: 


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (or another job-related degree) and 4 years of experience OR 5 years of experience in front-end development 
  • Experience with design thinking, human-centered design, mobile-first and responsive design, CSS naming conventions (e.g. SMACSS, BEM), organization methodologies (e.g. Atomic, ITCSS), and frameworks (e.g. Materialize, Bootstrap), Semantic HTML, CSS pre-processors, HTML templating languages (e.g. Slim, Mustache), JavaScript (e.g. jQuery, Node, React) 


Preferred Qualifications :


  • At least 2 major Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) 6.3 or higher development projects, including production support 
  • 3+ years of AEM 6.x/CQ5 experience 
  • Sound understanding of all AEM building blocks including templates, components, dialogs, widgets, social components etc., code build and deployment process 
  • Experience developing reusable AEM components for authoring content, reusable code libraries, unit testing, automation and code walkthroughs 
  • Ability to write clean, modular, reusable code (using design patterns) and experience with unit-test driven approach to development 
  • Experience working in content management systems (i.e. Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or Interwoven Teamsite/Livesite 
  • Demonstrated ability to work in Agile / Scrum / Iterative Development Methodologies 
  • Experience using JS Frameworks (Angular/React) to build single page applications (SPA’s) for internal/external delivery teams 
  • 5+ years of employment experience in front-end development 
  • Experience coding within 508 Compliance and WCAG accessibility guidelines 
  • Foster a culture of open feedback & learn from everyone mindset
