Systems Administrator needed – El Segundo, CA; McKinney, TX; Largo, FL; Dallas, TX; Forest, MS.

We have an opening with a great client of ours and we are looking for a Systems Administrator to work at one of these 5 locations: El Segundo, CA; McKinney, TX; Largo, FL; Dallas, TX; Forest, MS. You must be a US Citizen to apply.  This is a 1 year contract with possible extension.  

Pay Rate: $59-$61/hr.


The candidate will need the soft skills to collaborate with a diverse team of individuals from different departments, vendors and partners. With rapidly changing environments the candidate will have to be able to quickly priorities their actions and be able to quickly think on their feet. Even though, the candidate will be working on group projects, they will need to be a self-starter and capable of completing tasks and projects on their own with little oversite. They will also have the opportunity to participate in multi-year projects that will demand them to utilize their strong documentation, prioritization and project management skills to get tasks & actions done on-time with a “right the first time” attitude. The work environments will be complex and technically challenging so the candidate with have to have a strong troubleshooting skillset and have a think out of the box mindset to solve many of the tasks on a weekly basis.


The technical areas where the candidate will have the opportunity to show off their technical prowess include, but not limited to, Cybersecurity configuration/management, Virtualization Environment Configurations, Windows Server Software & Hardware Environments, Windows Desktop Image and Deployment, Troubleshooting Software Issues (Custom App and COTS products), SCADA configuration issues, Windows Operating System and Hardware Issues, Building out Firewalled Networks, and consolidation of isolated networks. They will also have the opportunity to do sustainment work and documentation of system states. The candidate will help design and oversee local area networks and network segments. Daily tasks may include installing, upgrading and monitoring software and hardware. They will maintain the essentials such as operating systems, business applications, security tools, web-servers, email, laptop, and desktop PCs.



  • Support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems

  • Ensure design of system allows all components to work properly together

  • Make recommendations for future upgrades and changes to policy

  • Troubleshoot problems reported by users and analyze and isolate issues

  • Monitor networks to ensure security

  • Evaluate and modify system’s performance

  • Maintain network facilities in individual machines, such as drivers and settings of personal computers as well as printers

  • Maintain integrity of the network, server deployment, and security

  • Ensure network connectivity throughout a company’s LAN/WAN infrastructure is on par with technical considerations

  • Design and deploy networks; Maintain network servers such as file servers, and VPN gateways

  • Perform network address assignment

  • Assign routing protocols and routing table configuration

  • Assign configuration of authentication and authorization of directory services (e.g. LDAP and/ or Active Directory)

  • Administer servers, laptop and desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, software deployment, security updates and patches

  • Implement and support cybersecurity settings on network and stand-alone workstations

  • Windows 10 computer refreshes and migration

  • Specialized Test Equipment Support (Daily Maintenance, Business Continuity Support)

Required Skills:

  • Middle-level experience in Microsoft Windows Desktops (e.g. Windows XP, 7 & 10), Windows Servers (e.g. Windows Server 2008, 2012 & 216) and /or Linux/Unix operating system administration

  • Understanding in Windows User Profile Migration

  • A strong understanding in full disk imaging and Windows Backup Technologies

  • Understanding of group policies and setting system security controls

  • Working knowledge of operating system concepts and implementations

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Active Directory Services support Veritas Backup Exec/NetBackup or understanding of server backup concepts

  • Understanding of Symantec Ghost full disk imaging and Windows Desktop Backup Technologies

  • Strong Understanding in Network Concepts (VLAN, Firewalls, Subnet)

  • Understanding of network services and protocol suites throughout the OSI model (e.g. DHCP, DNS, SSH, etc.)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong customer interaction skills with users of all levels

  • Experience with VMware ESXi including VLAN and Enterprise Plus features

  • Understanding of Virtualization Technologies (Desktop, Server & Storage)

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge with VMware Workstation, ESXi, and vCenter support and administration

  • Knowledge with HP server hardware support and diagnosis

  • Knowledge with HP storage hardware support and diagnosis

  • Knowledge of NAS and/or SAN ITIL Foundations v3

  • Experience with Cisco ASA firewall technology and Cisco switching and routing

  • Experience with iSCSI SANS; and NetApp knowledge is a plus

Minimum Education Required:

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Sciences, Technology, degree or relevant experience


Technical Certs:

  • MCP and/or MCSA
