Job Requirements
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing for registered nurses (RN) and possess a current license for the State of Texas
Basic knowledge of nursing theory and practice
Basic knowledge of drug administration via all approved and ordered routes, including IV and infection control techniques
Basic knowledge of drug actions and adverse reactions
Willingness and consciousness to provide quality customer service in keeping with facility standards of practice
Willingness to comply with and uphold the facility's vision, mission statement, standards of practice and policies and procedures
Must willingly demonstrate the ability to work in a team oriented environment
Must demonstrate initiative and be a self starter with job duties assigned
Must be certified in IV therapy
Have a working knowledge of EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and computer literate
Must have long term care experience, preferred.

As a ministry of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, St. Dominic Village provides a seamless continuum of care, comprised of short-term rehabilitation, skilled nursing care, assisted living, independent living, the Archbishop Joseph A. Fiorenza Priest Retirement Residence, and respite care services.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The RN is responsible for the daily nursing care of the residents on the Unit including administration of medications and treatments, receiving and transcribing physician orders, monitoring LVNs/CMAs/CNAs activity and care of the residents on a daily basis and communicating affectively to staff, residents, families, physicians and all members of the interdisciplinary team.
