Customer Service Manager

ST Solutions has an opening for a Customer Service Manager to be based at our corporate headquarters in Salem, VA. The Customer Service Manager is an integral part of our leadership team, and will manage the day-to-day operations of the customer service function. This position will focus on continually improving the effectiveness and efficiency of customer service, aligning these objective with providing excellent and timely service to our valuable customers. Our customer base includes some of the largest manufacturers in the aerospace, automotive, defense, mining, and transportation industries. 


Key responsibilities of the Customer Service Manager:


  • Manages Customer Service personnel in all daily activities, including delegating and managing the department workload
  • Manages the performance of the department by tracking and working to positively impact metrics that define a top tier customer service function
  • Investigates and formulates solutions to issues that impact customer service, and acts as a technical resource to customer service personnel
  • Works to ensure customer service processes and procedures are aligned with other departments within the company
  • Makes regular visits to key customers

Position Requirements


  • Must have a high-school diploma or GED Degree in distribution or equivalent experience within the distribution field
  • Must have leadership and sales capabilities
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to details
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and Company personnel
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships with customers, suppliers and Company personnel
  • Must have a professional and courteous demeanor at all times
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software
  • Some travel will be required
