Financial Institution is seeking a Human Resources Generalist who will be responsible for the administrative and strategic responsibility to administer critical functions including but not limited to staffing, recruitment, training and development, compensation and benefits. Provides backup for the Human Resource Coordinator for payroll as necessary. Must possess knowledge of applicable Human Resources laws and regulations as well as consumer compliance regulations.


Enrolling employees into various benefit packages including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, 401k, flex, life, ltd, etc.

Responsible for recruiting and preparation of all new hire and benefit enrollment packets; must ensure completeness of information and submission of enrollment forms to appropriate vendors.

Responsible for accurate information for the processing and updating of payroll while ensuring all data is complete and accurate

Running background checks on all potential new hires; entering new hires into all of the applicable systems, preparing new hire packets, etc.

Creating and maintaining personnel files for each and every employee of the financial institution while ensuring appropriate correspondence is up to date and accurate

Responsible for monthly billing and reconciling of all applicable employee benefits

Responsible for dissemination of employee handbook along with any updates that may occur throughout the year

Responsible for emailing notifications of changes to appropriate team members when an employee has been hired, transferred, and promoted.

Responsible for the accuracy and updating of monthly reports including but not limited to staffing report, affirmative action, affordable care act tracking, etc.

Filing as needed

Required to attend or participate in necessary compliance training

Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience:

5+ years of Human Resources/recruiting experience with applicable degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management with related Human Resources work experience

ADP Payroll experience a plus

Excellent organization and time management skills; detail oriented is essential

Must have the flexibility to travel to various locations    

Must be able to work independently

Ability to maintain the strictest confidence at all times is required 

Ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels, whether verbally or in writing is essential

Proficient in Microsoft Office products is required

Prior experience with benefits enrollment a plus

Work Hours:  Monday - Friday

Salary:  $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
