Job Description

ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST
Contract to hire opportunity in 
Camarillo, CA

 

 

OverviewResponsible for the effective coordination, progress, tracking and live facilitation of the organizational development programs of the Company.

 

Responsibilities: The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

 

1.       Creates and communicates organizational development schedules.

2.       Evaluates, audits and organizes the company’s organizational needs, and company organizational programs.

3.       Coordinates updates to existing courses and develops new curriculums.

4.       Researches and migrates emergent cultural business trends into current systems to expand employee knowledge, attract and retain high performing talent.

5.       Coordinates internal subject matter experts and external consultants.

6.       Acts as Company liaison for the Employment Training Panel agreement with the State of California.

7.       Develops approaches that assess organizational change readiness and influence mindset shifts and/or behavior modifications across business units.

8.       Coaches managers and supervisors in the identification of knowledge gaps and single point of failure for the purposes of succession planning through mentoring programs.

9.       Delivers proficiency to a variety of projects including training program design, change leadership, role definition, career mapping, cultural initiation and immersion.

10.    Formats, edits and maintains training working instructions in line with Quality Assurance policies and protocols.

11.    Participates in task force teams designed to advance company initiatives, continuous improvement, safety and business integrity.

12.    Additional responsibilities and projects, as assigned.

13.    Complies with all company policies, procedures and safety rules.

 

Education, Skills and Experience Requirements:

 

·         BA/BS Degree,

·         Minimum of 7 years of experience in instructor lead training, adult learning methodologies and organizational development capacities or similar disciplines

·         Excellent presentation, oral and written communication, coaching and facilitation skills

·         Computer literate in MS Office with strong Word, Power Point and Excel skills

·         Strong relationship management, interpersonal and leadership skills

·         Ability to adapt approach, content and schedules to develop and maintain dynamic learning in satisfaction of business unit needs and external audit compliance

·         Ability to assess multifaceted organizational and business needs, effectively navigate to appropriate leadership and offer organizational solutions with minimal direction and oversight required
