Major supplier to automotive manufacturers is seeking a Sr. Quality Engineer will provide comprehensive quality support related to process and product specifications while meeting customer requirements and quality/environmental standards. The candidate can work independently and in a team based environment. Runway to Manager role.

Must have Tier 1 automotive experience.

             Manage customer complaints from Containment, Root Cause Analysis, Corrective Action and System update Manage PPAP's on time to customers by working with multifunctional teams for required PPAP elements and customer requirements

             Customer exposure and understanding of Customer Specific Requirements  

             Change Management understanding and experience with ECN's/ECO's

             Create/Update/Apply quality procedures and instructions for manufacturing processes to meet the quality expectations of the customer

             Create/Maintain control plans for all parts manufactured within the assigned product teams

             Review the processing/update of Design and Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA)

             Create/Maintain Quality Alerts created from a proactive or reactive action with effective countermeasures prior to closure

             Monitor and measure customer satisfaction through established reporting by tracking and tabulating parts per million data (PPM) and Customer Scorecards

             Control and manage effective disposition of material on hold due to internal or external quality issues (Non Net)

             Lead team meetings (COPQ Meetings, Fast Response, etc.) to resolve product/process related problems that improve productions deliverables (metrics), improve product quality and reliability

•             Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or other Engineering and 7 + years’ experience

             Good communication skills/ team experience

             Proven experience and usage of Quality Tools such as 8D, 5Why, Root Cause Analysis, Fishbone        Diagram, 6-Sigma, Shainin Methodology, Look across to improve our internal/external indicators (PRR's, Scrap, Labor Variance, etc.)

             AIAG Core Tools expertise (PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, APQP)

             ISO TS 16949 exposure and experience preferred (ISO 9000 minimum requirement)

             Effective time management and self-motivation
