Work under the supervision of the Fabrication Manager to lead and coordinate the day-to-day activities of electrical fabrication operation. This includes managing, directing, and assigning tasks to crews. Responsible for ensuring all work is accomplished in a uniform and acceptable manner to meet delivery schedules, quality standards, budgets, and electrical codes.
Participate in weekly production meetings.
Work with Project Management team on Project Schedules
Review electrical drawings before sending the to the floor
Weekly safety meetings
Tracking and maintaining electrical tools
Provide project updates and close out documents and reports to Fabrication Manager
Maintaining and improving project margins
Provide man loading charts
Manages the testing of equipment and documentation
Review estimated hours for each project and share with the crew how many hours they will be allotted to complete each task
Needs to be heavily involved with ordering, tracking and making sure the crew has all miscellaneous materials needed to stay busy on a day to day basis
Responsible for Electrical and Piping Red Lines being turned in to engineering for each project as necessary
Responsible for Test / Log Sheets for each project if applicable
Demonstrating an ability to supervise a team
Being able to work long hours
Being able to work flexible hours
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word
Education and Experience Required:
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the Industrial Electrical Industry
5 years of experience in a leadership role
Great plain experience preferred, not required
Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
