Accounting Assistant


Accounts payable:

Responsible for entering invoices from vendors 

Enter employee expense reports 

Check prior balances on invoices

Follow up with vendor to obtain invoices not received

New vendors - obtain W-9

Monitor and resolve emails in AP email box

Generate a weekly check run after discussing with Controller


Billing:

Act as backup to Biller

Assist with obtaining timesheets and follow up with Attorneys

Run draft bills as well as final bills in Biller's absence

Open new matter in Tabs & Worldox as requested


Accounts receivable:

Fill out deposit slips for operating and escrow accounts

Copy checks before depositing


Desired experience:

2-3 years Accounts Payable 

2-3 years billing

Working knowledge of Quickbooks, Peachtree, MAS90 or similar software

Good excel skills - basic functions

Accounting degree would be a plus

Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing
