RN Clinical Liaison Manager

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Clinical Liaison Manager position is responsible for assisting the team with clinical linen use issues and establishing and maintaining relationships with healthcare and retail customers to promote cost-effective and appropriate use of linen. Clinical Liaison Manager will work closely with the Customer Service Reps and Production team to ensure strong communication and flow between the plant and customers. Will coordinate the Immunization programs for appropriate employees. Be actively engaged in infection prevention and associated programs. Will participate in team efforts for compliance with credentialing, accreditation and certification programs. Will use every opportunity for networking and relationship-building with customers.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Assist in establishing and maintaining relationships with healthcare customers to promote cost- effective and appropriate use of linen
  • Assist plant personnel with clinical linen use issues; participate in evaluation of new linen products
  • Assist the Hospital Account Manager, Service Manager and other Management with healthcare customers' educational needs
  • Establish relationships with Infection Preventionists and be available for questions, suggestions and concerns; facilitate annual tours/inspections
  • Maintain status as associate member of APIC and be alert for networking opportunities
  • Maintain continuous education re. infection prevention and epidemiology
  • Participate in administrative and clinical hospital meetings to share linen data and education; promote in hospitals that do not currently have them, and assist the reps as needed
  • Prepare educational handouts and materials to be used for Linen Awareness with customers
  • Provide Quality Information, such as Bacteriological Reports to appropriate personnel at healthcare customer sites; bacteriological reports are sent out quarterly.
  • Participate as an active First Responder; when on-site, be available to provide immediate triage and first aid, determine need for additional care/treatment and advise managers on follow-up
  • Assure compliance with the Virginia Board of Nursing Protocol for administration of adult immunizations
  • Oversee and administer the Hepatitis B vaccination program, to ensure compliance with OSHA requirements and directed by needs set forth from HR/Safety Director and maintain all immunization records and supplies of vaccines
  • Oversee and administer the Influenza vaccine program in coordination with the HR/Safety
  • Director and maintain all immunization records and advance ordering and supplies of vaccine
  • Participate in activities for customer service and sales, as directed by Management
  • Assist in organizing and conducting plant tours
  • Maintain active nursing licensure requirements by state

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • RN licensed in Virginia
  • Basic knowledge of infection control procedures and principles
  • Very organized and detail focused
  • Strong computer skills Power Point
  • Manage time effectively, work independently, and meet personal goals
  • Able to work well as a team member
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong educational skills
  • Ability to speak to small and large groups
