Rehabilitation Psychologist / Neuropsychologists
The Department of Neuropsychology and Family Services is excited to invite applicants to submit interest for one of our full time positions within our expanding medical rehabilitation agency. We are currently seeking to fill two positions for a Rehabilitation Psychologist/Neuropsychologist(s) in our Pediatric/Adolescent Services and for our Adult Medical Rehabilitation Services.
Ability KC is a not-for-profit agency identified by CMS as a Comprehensive Outpatient Rehabilitation Facility (CORF). Ability KC is CARF accredited in medical and vocational rehabilitation programs and therapeutic preschool providing services for over 70 years to the community. We are undertaking a major facility renovation and cultural change within our organization. We provide a continuum of services to pediatric, adolescent and adult populations with complex stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury/disease, and other neurological and congenital disorders.
As an integrated member within our interdisciplinary team of professionals, you will serve in a leadership role in participating in developing treatment plans, promoting and supporting optimal rehabilitation outcomes through programs, education and team collaboration, providing neuropsychological assessment and consultation, as well as therapeutic interventions through individual counseling, and family counseling for our program patients and their families. As well as possessing a strong background in, TBI, pediatric/adolescent stroke, congenital disorders and SCI/D, we are strongly seeking individuals with experience in assessment and interventions with children and adolescents with autism. Department staff psychologists work with staff social workers on family education and support programs and services. The Department Head is Terrie Price, PhD, ABPP.

*Supervision of psychology students seeking externship opportunities in rehabilitation.
*Ability KC maintains strong relationships with patient advocacy programs, which offers opportunities for leadership and presentations on neuropsychological topics.
- Applicants must have attended an APA accredited psychology program and have a Ph.D. or Psy.D., and be MO licensed or eligible for MO license in psychology, with completion of applicable postdoctoral training.
- The applicant should have experience in working with an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team.
