US Tech Solutions is seeking a Solutions Architectfor a 12+ months contract with possible extensions  with a client in Charlotte, NC.



Responsibilities
:

A Senior IT Architect provides leadership in technology governance and architecture oversight in delivering solutions, technology platforms or complex systems. They ensure design alignment with the business and IT strategies enabling our business partners to meet their goals and objectives. Workers at this level solve complex problems, manage work and provide leadership to others in technology or business architecture areas of specialization, with minimal supervision and increased latitude for complex designs, platform strategy and system integration decisions. Workers should possess advanced skills and to have the ability to work independently, while providing architecture guidance to IT architects, Technology Leads and management. They are fully competent in design concepts and provide influence for Enterprise Architecture standards and governance. They provide oversight over designs of highly valued, complex and integrated solutions, platforms and systems that are cost effective, extensible and manage risk. They lead the business case development, identification and recommendation of opportunities where technologies can improve capabilities for our business partners. Solution Architect will have primary responsibility for integration of a Meter Data Management system with a new Customer billing system.


Responsibilities include: 

  • Defining solutions that meet the Business needs while incorporating appropriate technology solutions 
  • Partnering with key roles in the Business and IT across Outage and Distribution management systems 
  • Development of High-Level Designs and consulting during detail design, build, test and deploy 
  • Collaborating with other Solution Architects to ensure alignment with the other team members and Enterprise directions 


Requirements:

  • 5+ years in the Solution Architect role with experience in applications, integration and information architecture design 
  • Proven ability to influence, negotiate and lead application and integration designs in a large organization 
  • Experience with Service Oriented Architecture and Enterprise Service Bus designs, preferably web Methods 
  • Experience with a large-scale Outage Management system, preferably Oracle, Intergraph, and ABB 
  • Understanding of Modern Architecture concepts and practices (Cloud native applications, API’s Microservices, etc.) 
  • Excellent written, verbal and diagramming skills
