Function of this position is to be engaged in the practice of providing telephonic patient support and education. Interact internally with other pharmacy members and externally with physicians and health care professionals in the execution of their duties during operational hours and while on-call. The Practice of Nursing within the pharmacy encompasses the development and delivery of standardized patient assessments and education programs using the nurses’ own professional judgment. Perform patient clinical interventions, provide drug information to other healthcare professionals, ensure proper documentation and record keeping for all interactions, provide information on drug therapy, drug administration, progress of treatment program, side effects, reviews lab results and conducts interventions. Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local nursing and pharmacy laws and regulations and HIPAA guidelines and policies.
- Registered Nurse in Illinois
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- Willing to Apply Pharmacy Technician and become CPHT accredited by 3rd licensure renewal as required by law
- 1-3 years of clinical nursing experience
- Experienced in telephonic nursing desirable
- Must have excellent verbal and writing communication skills
- Excellent at multitasking: talking on the phone, following a script, entering data, critical thinking and deciding on appropriate course of action required
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products software including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
