Our client is a growing company and they're looking to hire a Senior Accountant. This person will handle the full cycle of accounting for various properties (you will basically own the portfolio), G/L entries, and financial statement preparation.
There is a lot of career growth potential here; this person will be working towards an Accounting Manager position in the future as the company grows. As the company grows, this person will be groomed into a managerial role to oversee a group of people in the accounting department. This position will report directly to the Controller. The Controller doesn't micromanage and loves teaching, so he is willing to help the Senior Accountant learn and grow.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT:
Handle full cycle accounting for various properties
Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts
Handle month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities
Analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital
Prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement
Prepare monthly financial statements
Handle various reconciliations
Review accounts payable and accounts receivable
Keep track of various leases
Work closely with Property Manager
EXPERIENCE PREFERRED FOR THE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT ROLE:
Bachelor's in Accounting
3-7 years of full cycle accounting experience
Real Estate industry experience strongly preferred
