Nova 401(k) Associates (URL blocked - click to apply) provides consulting and pension administration services for all types of qualified retirement plans including, 401(k), Profit Sharing, Cross-Tested and Defined Benefit, including Cash Balance Plans. We are headquartered in Houston, Texas with offices in Dallas and Austin, TX and Scottsdale, AZ. is a fast growing company with more than 110 employees and nearly 50% of our employee population is remote across 19 different states.

 

This is a part-time (18-25 hours per week), entry-level position focused on providing HR and benefits support to all levels of personnel using applicable knowledge in human resources with highly developed interpersonal, organizational and technical skills.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Process semi-monthly payroll
  • Process special payrolls for bonuses and terminated employees
  • Track paid time off
  • Provide benefits enrollment information to newly eligible employees
  • Provide 401(k) enrollment information to newly eligible employees
  • Enroll employees in benefits and 401k programs
  • Administers the company’s group medical, dental, vision, basic life, supplemental life, disability insurance programs, 401K, Leave of Absence, FMLA and Continuing Education Reimbursement Plans.
  • Processes enrollments and changes for multiple benefit groups.
  • Report terminated employees to COBRA provider
  • Audits and reconciles monthly benefits invoices from carriers, creates reports, and assists in resolving any problems or discrepancies.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma required
  • 60 hours of college credit or Associates degree preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Prior payroll experience (particularly multi state payroll) preferred
  • Experience with Paylocity is a plus
  • Prior benefits experience a plus
  • Prior book-keeping experience preferred
  • HR or payroll certifications is a plus
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal
  • Superior organizational and coordination skills
  • Committed to lifelong learning and coachable
