About the Role

The Senior production operator role at our Columbia, MO manufacturing center, is a challenging opportunity for an individual interested in producing a high-quality product that will be used to enrich the lives of others. This role will contribute to all phases of the production process, which could include, assembly, testing and finishing the final product. As part of our constructive culture the Senior Operator will continue to grow using autonomy, mastery and purpose, while working under direct supervision on standardized duties and tasks using established procedures or written instructions.

Hours: 1 st , 2 nd and 3 rd shift openings available.


Hourly Wage: $17.25-$23.00 (includes $1.50/hour shift differential) based on experience

Key Responsibilities

Follow work instructions Set-up, operate, and troubleshoot equipment/tools/machinery, including complex equipment to prepare and assemble product

Assure product meets all quality standards

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Meet production metrics (takt time)

Check and fill out necessary reports, manufacturing orders, scrap, rejects and production times

Basic Qualifications

Consistent work history

Ability to sit or stand for prolonged period

Additional Success Factors you can bring
High-school graduate/GED preferred

Willingness to work overtime when needed

Willingness to be a cross-functional team member

Desire/ability to learn new skills and follow directions

Lean Manufacturing experience a plus

  • Monitoring equipment maintenance for longevity
  • Assist with set-up of equipment
  • Hear operating equipment safety beeps and/or honking of operating equipment
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance andhousekeeping
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance and housekeeping
  • Maintaining all equipment and systems
  • Keep equipment and work area
  • Documenting the condition of equipment
  • Given safety zones of operating equipment
  • Choosing equipment for mega projects
  • Receive medical equipment and supplies
  • Set up and operate all process equipment
  • Support intermodal operations and equipment movement
  • Follow up with terminals regarding missing equipment, equipment imbalances and unauthorized moves
  • Operate peripheral equipment using established procedures
  • Rebuild and upgrade of existing production equipment
  • Perform equipment maintenance and record keeping activities
  • Perform visual inspections on process equipment
  • Ensure appropriate documentation of equipment and inspections
  • Resolve equipment/procedural issues and inform Shift Supervisor of faulty equipment
