Maintenance Technician

2nd Shift


The primary responsibilities of the Electrical and Industrial Maintenance Technician include but are not limited to:


-Install, maintain and repair industrial manufacturing equipment


-Facility electrical systems installation, maintenance and repair


-Visual and auditory inspecting and testing manufacturing equipment to troubleshoot and diagnose issues before malfunctions and downtime occur


-Install new or repaired parts as needed on manufacturing equipment


-Maintain, repair and/or install 3 phase motors, shafts, bearing, gear-boxes, gauges, valves, pressure regulators and electrical components such as breakers, wiring, transformers and various other components for manufacturing equipment.


-Install, program and repair automated manufacturing equipment that operate with PLC's (Mitsubishi, Omron, Keyence, Fuji).


-Utilize lathes, grinders, drills, and milling machine to fabricate or repair parts in addition to operating a cutting torch and welding equipment.


-Document preventive maintenance procedures / schedules (daily, weekly, qtr, annual and who will perform the task) for manufacturing equipment. All maintenance procedures must include emphasis on safety.


-Collaborate with team members to effectively manage the company's preventative maintenance program that also includes on-hand parts inventory as well as the ordering of parts


-Develop and coordinate plant projects communicating with managers/supervisors to manage time lines and budget allocations for each proje

-Minimum of 5 years hands-on work experience (electrical, mechanical, documentation) in an industrial/manufacturing environment. Komatsu/ Aida equipment background is desirable or experience in the manufacturing stamping environment

-Associate degree or training/education from a 2-year technical or vocational institution -Hydraulic and pneumatic experience

-Ability to clearly communicate with managers, supervisors and colleagues to troubleshoot machine issues

-Proven record of safety; following lockout/tag out procedures and Cal OSHA/NEC guidelines -Must thrive in an open communication and team-oriented environment

-Must be motivated with a sense of urgency, leading by example, with the ability to prioritize and plan work activities and work efficiently under set time-lines, goals and objectives developing realistic action plans

-Basic computer skills that include MS Word and MS Excel

-Must have flexibility to work on-call hours in addition to nominal travel
