The Staff Coordinator is responsible for delivering all facets of recruiting success throughout the organization. This will be achieved through the development of recruiting strategies, employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas. The Staff Coordinator will play a critical role in ensuring we are hiring the best possible talent.

Role Summary

Responsible for contributing to the development, planning & implementation of recruiting plans, to include recruitment strategy, networking, internet portal & internet sourcing, media advertising, candidate screening, interviewing, development & operation of recruiting procedures & on-boarding activities.

Role Responsibilities

  • Responsible for recruiting process (sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer management)
  • Present the most qualified candidates to our client based on the recruiting process
  • Ensure search requests are clearly defined to include key responsibilities, requirements, reporting structure, compensation and interview process
  • Anticipate and minimize risks on searches
  • Review deliverables before passing to client
  • Quickly grasp and present solutions to complex recruiting requirements and issues
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with clients and candidates
  • Provide timely progress updates on prospecting, interview and placement activity
  • Ensure smooth transition post-hire and assess hiring manager and new hire satisfaction

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Minimum of one year of experience in recruiting is required
  • Proven candidate sourcing and relationship building skills
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • General knowledge of various employment laws and practices
  • Ability to work with various departments and foster teamwork
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Skills in database management and record keeping
  • Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work

Education and Experience

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a Business or Marketing discipline
  • Minimum of one year of experience in recruitment
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid experience with MS Word, Excel as well as database usage
