HRIS Analyst II

Job Purpose The HRIS Analyst II is responsible for analysis, configuration and testing new system enhancements and updates in support of core HR software applications.  The analyst will serve as a liaison between HRIS and the Business Units to facilitate issue resolution, system modifications and user requested interface enhancements.  The analyst will create, generate and maintain reports from core HR software applications.  Additionally, the analyst may provide guidance and support to other HR team members and end users.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Analyzes, configures, unit tests and promotes business processes, templates, forms and tables for core HR software applications in test and production environments.
  • Develops technical designs in support of application configuration changes.
  • Develops, executes and documents audit and quality control processes for maintaining data integrity and security of HR systems.
  • Identifies and resolves routine production system inquiries.
  • Acts as a liaison between HR and business units to facilitate problem resolution, system modifications and enhancements.
  • Plans, executes and manages HR related projects of varying nature
  • Monitors periodic maintenance updates performed on HR systems by software application vendors.
  • Provides post implementation support for software upgrades and maintenance updates.
  • Develops and automates HR informational reports.
  • Monitors HR systems Community sites for communications that may impact the firm.
  • Develops and maintains vendor relationships to handle routine communications.
  • Participates in user groups as required.
  • Assists in the creation and maintenance of departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Maintains awareness of current industry trends and techniques.
  • Identifies and maintains lessons learned process to drive continual improvement.

Other Duties
  • Provide on-call support as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of HRIS software applications, theory and practice.
  • Working knowledge of key HR functions to include Employment, Benefits, Compensation, Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition and Talent Management.
  • Project management skills and working knowledge of Agile system development methodology principles.
  • Ability to manage and maintain vendor relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of software application configuration and reporting. 
  • Knowledge of business process design/redesign practices.
  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment to achieve desired results
  • Ability to provide guidance and support to less experienced associates and end users.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required;
  • 1-2 years configuring business processes in software applications required;
  • Knowledge of project management principles and practices preferred;
  • Workday Human Capital Management, Time Tracker, and Recruiting experience preferred;
  • Knowledge of other HRIS related systems a plus
