Our client, fast-paced software innovator based in Ann Arbor, seeks to add an Accounting/Reporting Manager to the team. They are seeking a high-energy, driven professional with sound business acumen, technical accounting expertise and strong reporting skills to join the Accounting and Finance team. Ideal candidates should be eager to advance in the organization by demonstrating their ability to be tenacious self-starter every day.
Responsibilities to include:
- Maintain a tight monthly financial close timeline and schedule
- Create and oversee recurring aspects of financial reporting including month-end packages and ad-hoc reports required by management for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting
- Perform sophisticated analyses, reconciliations and quality control steps to ensure consistent and reliable reports
- Responsible for the accuracy, timeliness, of reporting financial performance measurements, reporting of monthly financial results and producing the executive dashboard with financial and non-financial metrics
- Oversee and lead all planning and analysis functions -- budgeting, forecasting, and department P&Ls
- Develop, manage, and monitor department budgets on an ongoing basis and create and improve internal tools to assist in the process
- Ensure ASC 606 revenue recognition through SaaSOptics system
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business/Accounting/ Finance
- 5+ years accounting, financial reporting experience
- 3+ in public accounting experience and 2+ years in a supervisory capacity preferred
- Required experience in ASC 606 Revenue Recognition Accounting
- Experience working with SaaS and/or enterprise software companies
- Very strong GAAP knowledge
- Must be highly proficient using Microsoft Excel
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- A proactive person who can multitask has sharp decision-making skills, and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with a high sense of urgency
- Self-starter with strong work ethic
