In this role you will handle weekly function of cutting checks and/or wire transfers to pay all invoices due, coding accurately, preparing timely reports, recommending payments to be made, and reviewing all spreadsheets. Additional duties include:
Code and process accounts payable weekly, from reviewing invoices/vendor statements to handling vendor inquires.
Resolve invoice questions and disputes with vendors.
Mail all checks to vendors including tracking checks with backup.
Match incoming bills with packing slips, receipts, etc.
Set-up new vendors.
Process and record all manual checks.
Maintain manual check log daily and reconcile monthly for month-end close.
Administrative duties as needed.
Maintain copy of invoices and applicable backup for all balance sheet accounts coded in A/P for monthly account reconciliations.
Answer phone and assist customers.
Order office supplies.
Print monthly all A/P reports need by Accounting.
Minimum of one year of accounting associate experience
Candidate must have good MS Word, Excel and data entry (will be tested)
Some college experience in Accounting or Business Administration a plus
