Job Description:

Process Engineering Manager reports directly to the Operations Manager and directs the Process Engineering Team of Engineers, Technicians and Machinist in the production of RF/Microwave assemblies.  In addition to providing supervision to the team, the Process Engineering Manager will take an active role in resolving Production issues while developing long term plans for yield and throughput improvements.
  • Provide technical guidance to Engineers and Technicians
  • Set priorities based on Production and Program needs
  • Develops new methods and improve upon existing methods to increase yields and productivity
  • Perform defect analysis to determine root cause of defects
  • Develop time reduction and cost improvement measures
  • Specify, procure and qualify capital equipment
  • Interface with suppliers and customers
  • Other duties as assigned or deemed necessary
 
Required Skills:
  • 10+ years’ experience in a process engineering role 
  • 5+ years in a supervisory role
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a high school diploma with military/industry technical school
  • 9+ years manufacturing experience acceptable
  • Ability to obtain a US Government security clearance.  Security clearances are granted to U.S. citizens.
 
Desired Skills:
  • Knowledge of die attach and wire bonding processes
  • Willing to work with highly complex RF/microwave assemblies
  • Lean certification or equivalent
  • Leadership skills
  • Willingness to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards
  • Willing to interact effectively with peers and supervisors
  • Willing to adhere to workplace rules
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows computer operating system preferred
 

Physical Requirements:
  • Cleanroom environment
  • Ability to use work with miniature components using tweezers
  • Ability to work under a microscope
