RLD Associates, Inc. has an opening for a part-time experienced insurance premium auditor for Albany, NY and a surrounding 75-mile radius. This is a part-time (1099) home-based position.
Travel should be anticipated 2 to 3 days per week. A reliable vehicle is required. Overnight stays are not a requirement of this position. Pay is competitive for the industry.
The purpose of a premium audit is to review accounting records and conduct a thorough interview to validate the assignment of the insured's risk classification and the associated premium.
-Review audit requests
-Prioritize inventory and schedule workload
-Make contact to the named insured to schedule an audit appointment
-Travel to the appointment location
-Conduct on-site interviews and review of accounting records including payroll records, employment tax reports, general ledgers and check registers
-Research on appropriate manual rules and classifications
-Prepare written audit reports to show analyzed data, calculations, and classifications
