We currently have a great assignment for a Branch Manager. This individual will support our client, a growing environmental engineering firm based out of Dulles, VA, with projects primarily on the East Coast. The position provides a comprehensive benefits package which includes paid holidays, paid time off, an extensive insurance plan and a 401(k) retirement plan with a generous company match.

Job Responsibilities

The Branch Manager will become a part of our client’s management team in their Dulles office. This individual will be responsible for all strategic and operational aspects of their assigned branch, including development of professional and technical staff, business development and financial success.

Responsibilities of the Branch Manager include:

  • Managing all strategic and operational business aspects of assigned branch to include:
    • Annual business planning
    • Profit and loss
    • Business development planning
    • Employee professional development
  • Managing office operations to include:
    • Construction materials
    • Construction quality control programs
    • Proposal preparation
    • Quality control
  • Managing and leading a 20-person team to include:
    • Engineers
    • Engineering Technicians
    • Project Managers
    • Administrative personnel
  • Leading business development activities
  • Ensuring accurate estimates for proposals
  • Developing and driving a culture guided by company values and workplace safety
  • Building effective teams to achieve overall company and branch goals

Specific qualifications for the Branch Manager include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Geotechnical / Civil Engineering or a related field. Master's degree in Business Administration is a plus
  • Eight (8) or more years of progressive Construction Materials Special Inspection & Testing, Geotechnical engineering experience or a combination of the two disciplines
  • Five (5) or more years of experience managing and leading teams
  • P.E. registration required. Must be registered in Virginia within three (3) months of starting
  • Technical skills, including proficiency with:
    • AutoCAD Version 22 or higher
  • Authorized to work in the US
