Our client is looking for a CMP Technical Marketing Engineer and a SiC Technical Marketing Engineer in the Hillsboro, OR area.

The technical marketing engineers manage a portfolio of accounts, communicating with clients to make design change recommendations and problem solve technical issues. Articulating technical details in a way that non-technical people can understand is the valued skill set that you will bring to the position. This is NOT a sales position. Some travel (approximately 10%) will be required.

Relocation assistant may be available to a well-qualified candidate.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports pre and post sales activities to acquire and retain customers by providing exceptional technical service or marketing expertise for either SiC or CMP materials
  • Researches and cultivates relationships with future customers by partnering in qualification processes, providing research or white papers, and by supporting business unit leaders in their efforts to find opportunities to gain market-entry for the company's products.
  • Partner with the respective AGC BU and R&D to produce highly technical proposals for custom product or development within scope of expertise.
  • Collaborates with HQ, Customer Service, Engineering and Manufacturing in order to convey important customer feedback affecting design, delivery/commitment management and ongoing customer relationships.
  • Contributes to development of product specifications and requirements and provides pre-and post-sales support to qualify and provides our customers with exceptional technical support for our products.
  • Support or participate in developing marketing direction and plans in conjunction with HQ and appropriate USA main office staff/departments and execute changes to programs, pricing, promotions, and marketing process with HQ and VP approval.
  • Provides ongoing technical support through telephone or personal consultation, and may coordinate peripheral support and administrative activities to ensure accurate product SDS and labeling meet regulatory requirements.
  • Maintains expertise on assigned products and technologies through training and research
  • Keeps abreast of industry and competitive landscape, optimizes relationships with customers to anticipate and respond proactively to customer’s business as affected by changes to technology, demand, market.

What you will bring to the position (CMP):

  • Degree in Inorganic Chemical Engineering OR a degree in Semi-Conductor-focused Chemistry (Bachelor’s considered, Master’s preferred)
  • 2+ years’ experience in Semiconductor industry or Semiconductor manufacturing industry
  • CMP product familiarity 

What you will bring to the position (SiC):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 2+ years’ experience in Semiconductor industry or Semiconductor manufacturing industry
  • Silicon Carbide material familiarity
