Job Description

This position is responsible for duties related to the receiving, sale, delivery of parts and accessories at the parts counter. In addition to providing exemplary customer service within the parts department. This position also backs up all other parts positions including delivery, shipping, receiving and other roles as needed at the location.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

o    Selling parts to customers at front counter using specific software

o    Receive and put in place, inventory, store parts, equipment and material into the department

o    Provide excellent customer service according to the company’s Customer Expectations Policy

o    Monitor and follow up on parts shortage and expedite ordering as required by the Parts Supervisor

o    May supply service technicians with parts as required

o    May assist in transporting parts, small equipment and related supplies to other locations/customers

o    Responsible for maintaining an accurate inventory and cycle counts of all parts at the location

o    Maintain records of pickup, deliveries and obtains necessary signatures and receipts

o    Assists in maintaining all departmental tools and equipment

o    Utilizes the surplus return program in line with owner group policy

o    Coordinate the perpetual or annual physical inventory of all parts and related inventories

o    Rotating work schedules including Saturdays

o    May include occasionally working from other locations

o    Participation in on-call program

o    Maintain a clean and orderly work area and showroom

o    Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments

o    Assist with merchandising displays

o    Promote and sell products and services to customers

o    Deliver parts to customers and parts drop boxes as necessary

o    Back up to various parts and service positions

o    Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications and Skills:

o    Minimum of high School diploma plus 2 years of related experience

o    Working knowledge of parts, machinery and basic understanding of inventory management principles

o    Ability to use the Parts Catalog computer applications

o    Data entry/Key Boarding and ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office

o    Ability to work in a team environment and strong interpersonal skills

o    Ability to write and speak effectively

o    Ability to lift items weighing upwards to 50 lbs.

o    Hold a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

o    Forklift license preferred
