MANAGER, FINANCIAL PLANNING & ANALYSIS

Our client is a multi-national, well established company that is a leader within their industry. The company is seeking a qualified and highly motivated finance professional.

Overview:

  • The Manager of FP&A will report to the Director of FP&A
  • The position will provide financial leadership and is responsible for driving continuous improvement in the areas of forecasting, budgeting, analysis, and strategic planning.
  • The Manager, FP&A will also manage and lead financial analysis and support of Business Unit strategic initiatives and collaborate with internal cross functional teams to implement best practices across North American finance systems & processes

Requirements:

 

  • 7+ years of related and progressively increased responsibility/career progression in Finance.
  • Bachelor Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills  
  • Advanced degree, MBA or CPA is a plus.
  • Strong written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced Excel skills, financial IT systems acumen – preferably with SAP

 

 

Job Description:                                                                                                      

  • Preparation of weekly forecast and variance analysis
  • Analyze and interpret actual financial performance vs. operating plan, forecast and prior year results
  • Generate financial forecasts (income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow), and review with Beverage management; identify key risks/opportunities
  • Understand key drivers of product line and customer profitability
  • Track capital spending and perform post capital reviews for the Board of Directors
  • Provide direction and thought leadership to the senior controllers and plant controllers on financial matters and process improvement opportunities
  • Improve operations by serving as a thought leader and liaison between plants and corporate HQ
  • Complete profit improvement projects that cover multiple plants or both operating regions
  • Manage planning processes and stay on track to meet stakeholder expectations
  • Enhance and standardize the use of operational and financial data
  • Streamline and improve planning processes
  • Internal controls and accounting/finance practices
  • Manage direct reports

  • Includes a 15% annual variable bonus
