A CareerBuilder Client Company is hiring an Insights Manager for their Houston, TX office.

Position Overview

The Automotive business with CareerBuilder’s Client Company works with some of the most well-known companies in the world. Are you passionate about the Automotive Aftermarket industry and want to assist our clients in providing the products and services consumers need to keep their vehicles serviced, maintained and customized.
Do you have an opinion on which companies are doing things right and which companies should be doing things better? Our Automotive team is seeking an Account Manager, Client Development who is responsible for building relationships with our clients, providing them with value-added insights and driving revenue within our accounts.

This position will be based in Houston, Texas

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Build strategic relationships with client contacts to develop strategic business insights regarding the clients’ most important business issues/needs, both short and long-term.
  • Expand the client base to include a broader mix of end users at accounts.
  • Deliver revenue growth for assigned clients within the Automotive practice area
  • Demonstrate usage of retail point-of-sale scanner data and consumer panel data to objectively partner with manufacturers to help them grow their business and gain market share.
  • Enhance manufacturer and retailer collaboration through the use of Account Level Reports (ALRs) in line reviews and joint business planning
  • Provide recommendations to client leadership teams and product management teams, on matters such as promotional success, strategic brand management, and merchandising/plan-o-gramming, based on market research analysis.
  • Understand the dynamics of each client’s organization and penetrate the account base to identify applications for the Client’s products and services.
  • Manage the contract negotiation process with clients in order to achieve/exceed revenue objectives.
  • Must also develop a strong comprehension of how the client and manufacturer/retailer relationships can be applied to assist customers in obtaining market share and growth profitability while also advancing CareerBuilder’s Client Company’s reputation, positioning and growth.
  • Partner with cross-functional departments and teams to ensure success for the business.


    • Bachelor’s degree plus 5+ years of experience within client services, account management or sales. Category Management experience within a manufacturer or retailer is a plus
    • Ability to synthesize data and develop meaningful conclusions/insights using POS scanner and consumer panel data
    • Ability to generate/support creative ideas and effectively sell those ideas.
    • Deep understanding of how category point-of-sale scanner data and consumer panel data can be used to identify business building opportunities for clients.
    • Strong presentation skills with a high comfort level presenting to large groups and senior audiences.
    • Demonstrated success in contract negotiations.
    • Proven history of meeting and exceeding revenue goals.
    • Travel typically 20%-25%
