Job Description

This position is under the direction of the Maintenance Manager and is responsible for performing clerical tasks such as developing a spare parts inventory  and importing data into our CMMS system, helping with the development of SOP’s, and working on special projects as assigned.

A day-in-the-life of our new team member includes:
 
  • Data entry into CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software.
  • Collect information on existing parts within stock room including establishing parts inventory value.  
  • Develop standard part number nomenclature, help to create parts room layout strategy, organize parts by machine center.
  • Identify obsolete parts and develop process for disposing of them.
  • Help establish Min/Max quantities and determine parts reorder levels.
  • Read and comprehend technical manuals related to facility equipment and help transpose information into CMMS system.
  • Help CMMS Manager develop documentation (such as SOPs) for rebuilding and maintaining equipment.
  • Manage databases and input information, data, and records.
  • Assist Maintenance Manager in identifying potential maintenance corrective actions and generating Maintenance Work Orders in the CMMS system.
  • Responsible for overall organization/order of maintenance goods in storeroom.
  • Assisting in the identifying and ordering of maintenance parts items.
  • Maintaining inventory of all parts inventory using CMMS software.
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.


Job Requirements

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Computer proficiency, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook etc.
  • Mechanical Aptitude
  • Comprehension of Preventative Maintenance
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Professionalism, problem solving, attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with a strong dedication for success, taking pride in workmanship
  • Working effectively in a team environment, positive attitude
  • Ability to work in varying climates
  • Ability to work independently with high quality and productivity
  • Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, blueprints, diagrams, schematics, equipment instructions, requirements and business correspondences.
  • Must be able to work in an environment exposed to milk, egg, mustard, peanuts, fish, sulfites, sesame, soy, tree nuts, and wheat allergens
