What are we looking for in a Case Manager - SUD Professional?

Working with a multidisciplinary team, the Case Manager SUDP provides supportive counseling, case management, and substance use treatment to clients on our outpatient Integrated Dual Disorders Treatment (IDDT) team. Using motivational interviewing and excellent communication skills, Case Manager SUDPs will engage clients in treatment early and assist the client in achieving treatment goals. This position is best suited to someone who can build rapport quickly and is knowledgeable about recovery principles.

Case Manager SUDP duties may include:

  • completing substance use assessments
  • facilitating behavioral health treatment & education groups
  • collaborating with each client to create an individualized treatment plan
  • coordinating with Comprehensive treatment teams & community providers to expedite treatment for each client
  • advocating for clients to obtain services & benefits, as appropriate
  • completing all progress notes and documentation in a respectful, client-centered manner


  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, social services, or related field
  • Must have Substance Use Disorder Professional or Trainee certification in Washington State
