Job Description

Job Summary:  This is a regular, full-time position, requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week, plus overtime as needed.  Assemble all jobs assigned by the assembly supervisor, including electrical components, sub-assemblies, products, or systems under close supervision.

Job Duties:  Minimum job duties include the following.   Other duties may be assigned.

• Assemble small/miniature connectors under a microscope and using the correct Assembly procedures and    tooling

• Assemble cable assemblies using the correct Assembly procedures and tooling

• Keep track of all time spent when assembling work orders and record data on time sheet 

• Understand the principles of the tooling used for various assemblies

• Follow verbal and written instructions contained on Assembly drawings

• Other duties as may be assigned

• Overtime will be required as needed

Job Requirements

Skills/Experience:  Minimum six (6) months manufacturing background and/or prior experience with assembly of miniature parts using a microscope is strongly preferred.  Must be able to read and understand verbal and written instructions in English and possess basic math skills related to dimensions and quantities.

Education: High school diploma or GED 

Physical demands: Must be able to sit for extended periods (40 hours or more) to perform repetitive work, operate different size manual presses to assemble connectors, have the ability to use a microscope and be able to hold small hand tools during assembly and soldering.
