Accessory Shop Associate / Automotive Shop Associate / Ford Automotive
Job Summary:
- Activate power equipment such as electric windows, seats, radio, horn, lights and directional signals to ensure specific operating standards
- Install window tint
- Install optional equipment specified by the customer or Dealer such as outside mirrors, rugs or seat covers using hand tools
- Install or repair major mechanical, hydraulic, or electro-mechanical equipment such as radios, air conditioners, power steering units, and power brakes using hand tools
- Perform minor mechanical repairs and adjustments
- Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the company’s vision, mission and values in all interactions with customers, co-workers and suppliers
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures and safety standards
- Follow company safety procedures to avoid exposure to fumes, dirt and harsh chemicals
Job Requirements:
- Must meet company’s requirements for employment
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information
- General mechanical skills
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles
- Professional appearance
- Manual dexterity, good judgment and ability to operate power and hand tools and other types of machinery safely
- 6-12 months of previous work experience
- Demonstrated customer service skill
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
- Exposure to inclement weather
- Ability to operate an automobile
- Lift up to 30+ pounds
- Able to stoop, kneel, crawl, reach and handle parts and equipment
- Able to work in an environment that is dusty and where various chemical compounds and paint is used
