Job Description

Title: Quality Engineer (17-00591)
Location: Milford, MI
Pay Rate: Open

Shift: Mon-Fri 1st shift

Job Requirements

Position Requirements:
• Knowledge in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint – Intermediate level
• Knowledge with Outlook or other email communication tool – Intermediate level
• Good interpersonal skills involving ability to work effectively cross-functionally and cross-culturally
• Good written and oral communication skills necessary for meetings and presentations
• Ability to work well with others, exhibiting teamwork skills
• Partners with senior management to analyze and solve issues
• Ability to multitask by handling diverse assignments concurrently
• Ability to drive quality initiatives with plant management opposition
• Automotive knowledge
• Relevant auto industry experience – 2-5 years minimum
• Areas of expertise include: Project Management, Quality Assurance
• Plan validation activities around new equipment and process changes
• Coordinate resources and materials
• Work with engineering and IT to understand requirements
• Quantify and escalate issues and trends to management.
• Plan/Lead reviews, stand up, and after action meetings
• Coordinate change control process
• Analyze, identify and implement testing and/or business process improvements which will improve capability and performance
• Troubleshoot problems or flaws in the item provided for testing
• Meet with members of the production team to offer recommendations and share results
• Participate in teams to help make necessary improvements and changes
• Generate and / or maintain Standard Work documentation
• Generate and / or maintain Validation related documentation and forms
• Perform required database management using various PC computer software packages
• Attend training per development plan

Required Education/Training/Certifications/Licenses
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or 4 year bachelor's degree in a technical field required.
