Our Opportunity: We currently have a load planner position available at our Indianapolis, Indiana office. This is a full-time, 40 hour per week position with regular office hours from 8 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday. Additional hours per week may ocassionally be required depending upon business needs.
The individual in this position will be primarily responsible for supporting the growth and profit goals of the company. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following
- Routing loads based on driver and operational needs
- Coordinating timely pick up and delivery of scheduled loads
- Ensuring committed customer priority and service protection on available equipment
- Maximizing equipment utilization
- Communicating information to other departments

Our Ideal Candidate: The best fit for this position will have the following qualifications::
- High school diploma, GED, or other equivalent
- Associate's degree in business, logistics, or similar area of study preferred
- At least one (1) year of previous experience with load planning
- Previous experience with short- and long-haul load planning preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organization skills
- Strong basic computer skills
- Intermediate-level proficiency with Microsoft Office (primarily Excel and Word)
- Familiarity with AS400 preferred
- Able to sit upright at assigned workstation for entire work day
- Able to write and type for communication and data entry purposes for entire work day
- Able to listen to others and speak clearly very frequently in order to communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and customers
- Able to stoop and bend over somewhat frequently for filing duties
